As soon as the guitar hit in the beginning of Zair Williams' latest single I lightweight lost my shit. Probably because I'm used to listening to hard 808s and snares that blast my eardrums to tomorrow and this heat got me wanting to grab a brew a play an ukulele all day.
This record puts me on the beach with that brew. "Novacane" is a breath of fresh air for the summertime where the Stockton rapper channels this acoustic trap sound produced by OFASHO.
Personally, I'd love to get an entire project with this sound. It isn't prominent in the market. This is my advice for whoever is reading this. - The Lunch Table

Zair Williams, pronounced “Zi-Year”, is the young energy that you can feel from a mile away. He has a stage presence that’s as refreshing and authentic as his sound and image. You’ll see quickly that this artist has developed on a big scale, and doesn’t hold back with who he is, nor the way he wants to catch your attention! With an undeniable approach, he makes it apparent that he believes in himself, his music alongside his team, and before he’s done you should believe in the same things! Representing the collective, “Inner Haven Music” with an expanding recognition across cities between the valley of Northern California and into the Bay Area, they are making it clear that their mission to make a solid name and base for themselves will not be interrupted.A few of his biggest musical influences range from Erykah Badu followed by artists such as Andre 3000, Jay Z, 2 Chainz, and Lil Wayne, all the way down to Mos Def, Missy Elliot, A Tribe Called Quest, and so on (ironically all mainstream artists but it’s okay). Zair has a musical style that he’d describe as substance filled with alliteration, bounce, and a play on words full on double/triple entendres that are easy to miss if you’re not careful!
Zair Williams started actively recording music in the 6th grade around the ages of 12-13 and got serious with it when he dropped his track “Chill Hype” during his Junior year of high school at the age of 16. He is now focused and naturally coming into story-telling so that all of his bars and verses correlate rather than spitting random bars like many rappers and consumers like to involve themselves in today.
