Though he has always been a little more known for being in and out of bands, Zach Leon's first single as a solo artist "Good Friends" had a great response gaining 5,000 views its first month out. Originally a frontman for a couple indie-rock bands from Kansas City, he moved out to Nashville in late 2014 after recording an album with his group Westport. He began playing many shows between 2015 and 2016 as well as winning the Nashville Connection city-wide songwriter contest. The indie leaning sound has a hopeful, "happy-sad" leaning tone that clearly points to a Ben Folds/Brian Fallon influence all over it. The lyric heavy oriented is easily masked with pop hooks and melodies which forces you to listen to the words closely in the loudest of Nashville's bars. Zach's EP "The Great and Terrible" will release on December 28th, 2016 with six songs and music videos to follow. This will all be leading up to his full length album "Happysadsongs" in September of 2017.
