Bio
Yung Honore ignites a praise party wherever he goes! Mingling afro-pop, rap, and contemporary worship, while conveying the positive message of Jesus Christ, this young artist has quickly become a modern musical phenomenon.
From humble beginnings of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, Yung Honore was born Honore Musele Muyaka in 1992. He was raised in a Christian home, under the leadership of his father, Missionary and Pastor Felix Muyaka. Over the past 10 years, Prince Honore has traveled with his family of 10 (2 parents and 8 siblings) and ministered throughout 5 different countries. It is during this time that Yung Honore acquired speaking fluidity of 7 different languages, thus his profound love for words and the universal language of music. His family has settled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where his father and older brothers planted and pastor a church, Living Together in Christ International Ministries.
Early in life, Yung Honore knew he was called to empower and uplift the world. His says his goal is to flip this generation upside down, by imparting and instilling a royal mindset and high self-esteem, that we may all discover the kings and queens God has created us to be. Yung Honore says his personal quest is to create and deliver a Godly sound that is relevant, inviting and well received in today’s world, but without compromising His faith in Jesus.
On his debut EP, “Conversations in the Castle” [available Spring 2015], Yung Honore exudes his multi-cultural flair while introducing present-day issues to inspiring biblically based rhymes with reason. All peers and fans alike are privileged to enjoy Yung Honore’s positive, spiritual, and futuristic vigor via his eclectic fashion, exuberant high-spirited tracks, and odes to the King of Kings. This project is a God Life experience.
Yung Honore is the new vanguard for contemporary Christian music.
