Atlanta-based rapper, Young Essence, born Andre J. Miguel, was raised in Phoenix, Arizona before relocating in 2018. Young Essence comes from Cuban and Puerto Rican descent with music running through his veins and unchecked ambition. He grew up playing basketball and struggled with ADHD from a young age. His ongoing frustrations prompted him to get lost in the music and begin writing bars. Inspired by the beats of 90’s iconic rap legends, he quickly channeled his emotions into his own music.
Strongly influenced by rapper Meek Mill’s struggles and perseverance, Young Essence admires the artist’s success and music. Although their battles in life have been different Young Essence aspires to be like Meek.
Rapper Young Essence made his debut in 2020 dropping his first single, Mayweather Chedda, at the age of 16. During his short time on the scene, Young Essence has worked with Arizona hip hop legend FTK_Kaliq, Angelo Nano, Montree, and Murkemz. Through the help of these artists he found his own unique style of music and is a force to be reckoned with.
