Yo Daddy Doe, born Derek Craig, is a Boston-based rapper. Living by his motto "Animate you dreams. they hear desires" Yo Daddy Doe has been creating scenery within the music while telling the world the inner workings of his thoughts. Since Late 2016, YDD has been battling with glaucoma, losing vision completely in one eye, salvaging what was not tkaed away in the other, He still pushes forward with positive outlook and expanded the creative output; not just in music.
Yo Daddy Doe musical influences range from Hov to ODB to Weezy to James Brown and Ray Charles. He utilizes his ability paired with influences and collaborators and brings it all together best experienced in person. Yo daddy Doe has strived to provide greatness within the genre while using his material to bring more levels to live entertainment.
Partners with Sunday Dinner Records, YDD released his first project "This Shit Sucks, Don't Listen" paired with three video singles. The project was well received by publications overstating the storytelling of the project in its entirety.
Later in 2017, Yo Daddy Doe releases his current work "Animated Dreams Heard Desires" This project is the starting point that Yo Daddy Doe has built for future work. The ADHD project plays as the title suggest, each track creating another picture that listeners can analyze or paint how they feel.
YDD stage presence and charisma can be felt and seen during live performances. With multiple shows with artists like Oompa, Pink Navel, Evilldewer and legendary High and Mighty, he looks to bring his set around the world.
YDD has collaborated with artist all over the world from Texas, Michigan and NYC to Toronto, Poland, and Greece. Expect even more to come from Yo Daddy Doe in the near future.
