STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Young scooter enthusiasts arrived early Thursday afternoon at 5050 Skatepark on the Stapleton waterfront to practice tricks and await the arrival of three pros from the California-based AO Scooter team, including Brooklyn hometown boy Zig Short.
AO Scooter's "Summer Sweltour" has the company's pros visiting nine East Coast venues, including 5050, Staten Island's only indoor skatepark.

Bio
A duo whose musical roots stem from Hip Hop, Dub-Step, Drum-n-Bass, Extreme Sports,
and computer science; the creativity and capability between these two is boundless.
One is a music producer who is determined to bring positivity and freedom back into the
world of music, the other is a Ninja MC whose style and versatility is virtually unmatched, and
together they're duo that are creating something that is undeniably unique, as it is, radical.
From the very start, the chemistry between music producer (MTV, Kellogg, Oxygen) Yarley
G and Lyricist Zig Short (Nike 6.0) was irrefutable. Both coming from humble backgrounds, the
duo has manifested their passion for music through the individual hardships each has faced.
A migrant from Haiti, Yarley experienced the dangers and hardships of his homeland
firsthand. Fighting to overcome daily infractions, Yarley leaned on music as a crutch. As his
intensity for music grew, Yarley's need to express himself, creatively, led him on an artistic
journey, ultimately causing him to cross paths with Zig Short.
Though Zig Short has accomplished many things in his life, he has also overcome a great
deal of obstacles. Due to critical injuries to his organs and ligaments, this certified Wing Chun
Kung Fu instructor, was hospitalized multiple times, but even that couldn't break his spirit.
Refusing to be defeated, Zig gathered enough strength to keep moving forward and began his
own musical trek.
Now together, these two are creating something unlike either has ever experienced.
