WildKofta and the Kebabs

WildKofta and the Kebabs is best described as a World Cuisine band, blending the colorful palettes of World music into a unique and tasty audible dish of surreal sounds, infectious grooves, delicious melodies, and soulful performance. Like all good cuisine, the music explores the elemental tastes of different genres and styles from around the World and fuses them into something new and exciting! The music is inspired by several different styles including Gypsy, Manouche, Flamenco, Latin Afro, East Indian, Arabic, Jazz/Prog Fusion, Electronic Dance, and Blues just to name a few.

The 4 piece is based out of Toronto, Canada and are all full time musicians. Although World music is type cast to be a low energy style of music, these guys are far from it, exuding a tremendous amount of energy. The band is fronted by the guitarist Wild Kofta, having earned him his onstage, from his stage presence. He is constantly on the move;  running and dancing around the stage riling up the audience, while laying down very tasteful and impressive guitar solos! Jarek happens to be the Kebabs' virtuouso multi-instrumentalist, easily the busiest member in the band constantly jumping from percussion to guitar to keys/synth and to trumpet! Chris Riley lays down the low end for the Kebabs on his unique mini stand up bass, get him excited and he might just rock the stand bass like a guitar! Finally, the heartbeat of the Kebab, Dave Pake is best described as the resonant frequency of human race's heartbeat!
