WILBERTA is an LA based future jazz project currently gearing up to release their first EP. The music presents a sleek combination of improvisation, met with powerful rhythmic intensity and soaring melodies. Breaking down traditional genre walls, their sound embodies a fresh interpretation of instrumental and vocal compositions, drawing inspiration from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, and Radiohead.
As a band they have performed at festivals and venues across Southern California, and collaborated with the likes of Moses Sumney, Moonchild, Kris Bowers, and others in the flourishing LA music scene. Individually, they have worked with artists including Bilal, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Aloe Blacc, Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Van Hunt, Kamasi Washington, J.R. Rotem, Richard Rudolph, and Maroon 5.
With the boldly inspiring and wildly improvisational energy their live shows bring to the audience, WILBERTA offers a raw and indefinable alternative for primed music listeners.
