Wick Flare born and raised in Sanford, NC. Never known to be one to
bite his tongue, Flare has always been expressive. Known for his unique voice,
raw delivery, and versatility; he can capture the mind of the streets and the heart
of the females. Growing up around an older crowd, he was influenced by music that touches the soul
as well as hip hop. His musical influences range from legends such as Curtis Mayfield, Otis Redding,Bob Marley,
Sam Cooke, O'Jays and hip hop greats like Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., Outkast, and his personal favorite
Pimp C of UGK. With his new release "Legend in tha Flesh" slated for 2014, Flare assures
music lovers that this album will show that there is no one lane to place him in. When asked about his intentions for this release
Flare states " I just want to take it back to creating timeless music and just bring something for all listeners. I want to capture the
hearts of people from all walks of life so I refuse to create one type of music".
