Whitechapel has been a staple in the Deathcore genre since the release of their first album, "The Somatic Defilement" (2007). Through crushing riffs, heavy breakdowns, and vocalist Phil Bozeman's unique style of fast paced, low growl vocals and emotionally cathartic and disturbing lyrics has gathered Whitechapel a diehard fanbase around the world. They have not only helped transform the Deathcore general but have made it into the Death Metal world, touring with legendary bands like Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, and The Black Dahlia Murder. They have also gained some mainstream underground Metal support with play on stations such as SirusXM Octance and Liquid Metal. 

Throughout the 12 years and now approaching on their 7 album, Whitechapel has always been changing and pushing the boundaries of not only their sound but the genre as well. With their album "Our Endless War" (2014), Whitechapel took a deeper dive into what makes their music so special to them and their fans a like, while keeping it heavy they took a side step to make an album that dove deeper emotionally with the lyrics, and started to utilize all three guitarists to make a wall of sound and lyrics the fans chant back every night. 

With their release "Mark of the Blade" (2016) Whitechapel took an even bigger side step adding more melodic elements to the music, trading in some of the brutality of past records with more groove, and the addition of clean singing by Vocalist Phil Bozeman. While some of these songs have made it into the setlist and are screamed every night, the album didn't seem to reach its full potential with the fans. But now with the release of their latest album, set to release on March 29th, "The Valley" (2019), it takes everything that was done right on "Mark of the Blade", put through the filter of what has worked for the last 12 years, and highlighted with the deep insight of Vocalist Phil Bozeman's dark childhood struggle. With each of the 5 singles release so far having their own unique flavor, even the more melodic songs with clean singing keeps the dark emotion and heaviness the whole way though. This album will be Whitechapel at its best where old and new fans alike will be blown away.
