Weak Creatures

The Weak Creatures is a Texas-based band, which consists of core members Travis Weatherred of Houston and Joe Rivera of Austin.  Travis began his musical career as a drummer and has played in various bands in the Houston area since the age of 17.  He has continued in his musical endeavors over the years as a singer and songwriter.  Joe is an experienced keyboardist, who uses a wide range of experimental techniques to bring depth and an inventive quality to his work.  The two were brought together through their shared interests in experimental rock, avant-garde, post-rock, neo-folk, and psychedelic rock.  Their musical experience and eclectic array of influences are manifested in a sound that is textured and atmospheric, at times even abrasive, sweeping in and out of an acoustic landscape, and layered with vocals full of visceral passion.  Their forthcoming album exhibits their unique vision and will prove to be the beginning of many more to come.
