The first thing that jumped out at me when I heard this track was just how much CHARACTER it has. Warganization have written a certifiable banger. The CATCHY lyrics/vocals bring me back again and again. Not to mention the SICK production on this track. So clean and yet so thick! Kinda funny how it's categorized as electronic, as it's more hip hop IMO. Whatever genre you call it, it's a song I'm gonna find myself blasting again and again! Warganization formed as a collaborative alternative/electronic music & art project of Jack Morrison, and has since become a bit more of a focused act with live performances and several studio releases under their belt. Beginning in the early 2010s, Warganization has covered a lot of ground stylistically, ranging from hip hop and r&b to a harder-edged, almost industrial sound on some of their material. The group started out using abstract imagery and characters/designs from Jack but have since gotten into more of a habit of representing themselves as the live band, despite most of the music being helmed by Morrison. The core of the live band is currently a duo, comprised of Morrison and Katy Scherer, but they are frequently joined by collaborators such as live drummers, bassists, and guitarists hired on a show-by-show/tour-by-tour basis, depending on what the set calls for.
