Waraibo

Waraibo (pronounced: hwŏt - ī - bō)  is a group comprised of emerging musicians from Canada, Colombia, and Venezuela that have studied music in various places including Humber College and Conservatories throughout South America.  With some members playing professionally as young as 8, Waraibo's performance fuses the rhythm of South American heritage with the complexity of jazz influences.

Since 2016, Waraibo offers a distinctive flair for any roster panel as they are well versed in various Latin musical styles.  Nine musicians provide the unique balance of energy that creates a lively atmosphere and tells the true story of Latin Culture.  Waraibo extends an in-depth tour and background in renditions of Cuban, Colombian, and Venezuelan repertoire, staying true to its roots yet providing a modern spin in the arrangement performed.

Now based in Burlington, Ontario,  Waraibo's innovative sound mixes American jazz and R&B into Latin rhythms that interpret the heritage of each musician's background.  The result?  A big performance that captivates the audience everywhere they go!  Stay tuned for their EP release in 2019.
