"New Music Critique"

Not much sets WannyBabyy apart from your average successful trap rapper of 2020, which has both its positives and negatives. On the positive side, WannyBabyy has the sound and the music down. His vocals are a perfect match to his beats and his flows are interesting and modern enough to draw attention. On the downside, WannyBabyy’s music lacks individuality and needs something unique that will display it in a different light. Ultimately, the music, lyrics and flow feel standard. We think WannyBabyy is ready to try new things with the talent that is clearly there. That being said, the quickly cut-off beats in several songs are a questionable choice and could seem amatuerish to first-time listeners. - Music Connection

"An Interview with music artist Wannybabyy Released New Single “Call You”"

Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work –and who were some of your influences growing up?
My name is Wannybabyy. Pronounced Jaun-knee-baby. I’m from Gaithersburg, Montgomery County, 124, Maryland. I started rapping for fun honestly. Making songs for my own ears to hear. Then my cousin Marlo just told me to start dropping it. He told me to do it for real, and I’ve been applying the pressure ever since. The biggest influences on my music would be, Drake, Rich the Kid, Lil Baby, Gunna, Meek Mill, Tory Lanez, Lil skies, HoodRich, & many more honestly. I get inspired by listening to anything fr. Growing up it was definitely Lil Wayne, future, t-pain, bow wow & all those greats fr.
Q: What kind of training have you had, if any?
Just being in the Stu 24/7, always working. I’ve trained myself to pre-mix my songs & record my self.
Q: What has been your favourite project to work on so far?
This new one I have coming named “Who’s Wannybabyy”. That’s gonna be a banger fr!
Q: What sports do you enjoy watching?
NFL & the NBA. My Ravens going to the Super Bowl this year! My Favorite basketball player of all time is the goat Kobe Bean Bryant baby.
Q: What has been one of the biggest highlights/achievements of your career?
Probably Lil Scrappy and DJ Diddy shouting my music out. & getting radio play.
Q: If you had a chance to work alongside anybody who would that be?
Meek Mill. That’s my favorite artist, I got a lot of others but he’s at the top.
Q: What projects do you have coming up?
“Call You” just dropped. Single “Many friends” drops in 2 weeks but the tape “Who’s Wannybabyy” is coming soon. Stay ready!
Q: Who is your inspiration?
God & my family fr.
Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
Psalms 100 in the Bible fr. Always gotta give thanks.
Q: What are your favorite venues to perform in?
Only performed once in Baltimore. It was cool.
Q: Social Profiles:
Twitter and Instagram are @Wannybabyy

Q: How did you come up with the idea for your Music video?
Every music video I try to make like a movie. As interesting as possible. With flashy cars and a plot, or something funny tbh.
Q: Do you have any advice for young music makers like yourself?
Invest in yourself and believe. The best thing I did was buy a home studio. You can work on your craft 24/7 while saving a lot of money. Do that!
Q: Who were the biggest inspirations for your career?
My family. I wanna give them the world fr. They deserve it all. We gonna be living well one day believe me.

Bio

I am a upcoming artist out of the Maryland area. I have a flow that can adapt to anything. I have over 200k YouTube views and over 50k music streams. I’ve been in a couple articles and have lyrics about to appear on genius for my new single “Team on my back”. I will be appearing in XXL’s new artist section in December. I’m ready to blow and just getting started. I have a home studio where I record myself, and a camera where I shoot my own music videos. I’ve been rapping since 2018 seriously but always would freestyle when a beat was on. I don’t write any of my raps anymore. I started freestyle and punching in since I dropped my “Who’s Wannybabyy” tape in 2020. All I need is a shot
