Formed 2021 in Ada, Oklahoma: Visions of Afterlife mixes influences of metal, doom and alternative rock to make what is best described as "Gothic doom". The band consists of vocalist Brad Hicks, rhythm guitarist Junior Vargas, lead guitarist Stephen Miller and drummer Jacob Gardner. Their first self produced single, a cover of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" released in 2021. In between live shows, Visions of Afterlife were able to self record a four track EP demo. The self-produced EP Demo released in May of 2022 titled "Bittersweet Sorrow: The Beginning". Since the release of their demo - two more self-recorded/self-produced singles have been released in 2022. As of 2024 Visions of Afterlife are working on recording more music in a professional studio while setting out to do more live shows.
