Vincent Copia is a California born solo recording artist living and performing in Santa Fe, NM. His musical journey begins as a lead singer performing in post punk bands in the mid to late eighties through the early 90's. Having graduated from the University of New Mexico in the late nineties with a degree in Creative Writing and Philosophy, Copia returned to Los Angeles where he picked up the second part of his musical career in performing post punk, punk rock, and alt rock bands as a singer/guitar player and bassist. Once again returning to New Mexico, Copia began writing songs for what would come to be his first solo recording effort: Vincent Copia and The Lightning Harem. The album has been described as having a west coast beach sound, like that of the Beach Boys, but has also been described as having an evident musical influence of The Velvet Underground.
