Ohio emcee Vada was formerly a member of Fly Union, a Columbus, OH based hip-hop group. He has been doing his solo thing for quite some time now. Here is one of his latest efforts, as he delivers his rendition of “Drug Dealers Anonymous.” Thoughts? - Hip Hop DX

King Vada, a veteran emcee from Ohio and the latest member of Stalley's Blue Collar Gang, has just released his most recent project. Titled MURDRxFLWR$, the project has production from Cardo, J. Rawls, DJ Rhettmatic, and DJ O-Zone. There are no big name guest appearances on this project, allowing Vada to showcase his gripping storytelling abilities, celestial imagery, and unique slightly high-pitched cadence.

Vada demonstrates a knack for detail with his namedropping of brand names throughout the 13-track project. He also talks about the work he's put in as a ghostwriter, without naming any of the artists he has worked with. His vocals float over the ambient soundscapes that mesh together in cohesive fashion. Standout records include the chilling intro "The Gli$tening," and "Dear, Mr. Po$tman."

Vada disappeared from the public eye, after his last project The Measure, but continued to work behind-the-scenes with several artists, making a name for himself as a ghostwriter. The Midwest representer’s lyrical style is comprised of streetwear knowledge, sports references, and cinematic deceptions of the streets. The sonic texture of MURDRxFLWR$ is a mixture of electronic and ambient melodies, floating over 808s and hard drums. Ohio native, and Blue Collar Gang member King Vada releases “FLWR$ BEFORE I GO”, an EP produced and compiled by fellow Ohio producers Twizz and DJ Corey Grand. He also collaborates with London, UK visual artist Jasmin Sehra for the cover art.
