Up The Irons: Tribute to Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden are an English Heavy Metal band formed in 1975 in Leyton, East London. They released 17 studio albums and numerous live and hit collections and have toured the world over and over again.

We are not Iron Maiden, but we are a tribute. Brought together by a love for one of the greatest metal bands in history. Up the Irons is a celebration of the music of Iron Maiden. Twin guitars, thundering drums, the rock solid bass assault and the “human air raid siren” on vocals, Iron Maiden was THE band to set the standard, and we aim to pay our respect, and our love for them, every time we take the stage.

Formed in the winter of 2022, Up The Irons is made up of 5 musical veterans of the Omaha music scene,  each member having their own success before forming Up the Irons , the band is a powerhouse of musicianship.

Steve Ward – Lead Vocals. What do you do when you need a “ Bruce Dickinson”? Well for starters, you better find a guy that can sing his ass off. Steve is that man! A lifelong musician, Steve Spent 6 Years in the Arizona Opera before returning home to Omaha. His incredible range and exciting stage presence make Steve a perfect fit. Steve has performed with local acts Topspin, Boondoggle and Monsters in the Basement just to name a few.

David Marshall Hughes – Lead Guitar. Dave brings a ton of musical knowledge to the group. Having been a lead guitar player since day one, Dave is an accomplished guitarist and plays the role of Adrian Smith perfectly. Dave has played in numerous bands including The Personics, John Doe, Pool Boy Rob and Cowboy X.

Patrick Bressman – Lead Guitar. Patrick is a longtime member of Omaha Band “Cheshire Grin” and has played well over 1000 shows as a musician. Known for his showmanship as well as his guitar skills, Patrick and Dave are a formidable 1-2 punch as a twin guitar attack. Having been tasked with playing all of Dave Murray’s parts, Patrick has stepped up to the challenge and is ready to deliver!

Bryan May- Bass. Bryan’s killer bass playing, and love of Iron Maiden make him our “Mini Steve” and secret weapon. Laying down all of Steve Harris’s part with attitude and precision, Bryan is the Thunder and the Lighting of Up The Irons. Bryan has played all over the place and currently lays down the thunder with local acts Frenzy, Wrecked Jenny and RycheNow!

Ricky Halverson- Drums. A “Drummers” Drummer, Ricky is a widely respected musician, not only in the Omaha music scene, but nationally as well. Ricky has toured the world with NYC Hardcore legends “Pro-Pain”, as well as playing behind “Ratt” front man Steven Pearcy. He has also toured extensively with Omaha Thrash legends Narcotic Self.

When we combine the forces of these 5 powerhouse musicians you get Up the Irons-Tribute to Iron Maiden. Songs delivered with stunning execution, and unrivaled enthusiasm.
