Twirl is one of those bands that are perfect for TV and film. The reason why we picked "Get Up and Dance" is because the production, the vocal track, the lyrics and the melodies were perfect for the Disney TV series we were working on and what was being asked for.
Listen to how fun the song sounds and how perfect it can fit to many different scenes on film. When an audience hears a song for the first time on a TV show, that song has to catch that person's attention right away. This song is a perfect example. You don't need to hear it 5 times before it grows on you. So far
"Get Up and Dance" has been placed on two Disney TV shows and more of Twirl's songs are sitting in the hands of other music supervisors.

Bio
Twirl is Huguette Arsenault (AKA Chantal) and Neal Busby, an edgy independent rock duo from Toronto that are a blend of mod-punk mashed with sexy alternative electro Rock. Forgoing the traditional music business model and embracing the DIY philosophy, Twirl have successfully promoted their music to the masses via high profile song placements in Film, Television & advertising campaigns. This exposure has led to thousands of downloads of their music on itunes around the world.
Prior to forming the group, Neal Busby, in the early 90's was drummer for Canadian hard rockers SLIK TOXIK. As a contributing songwriter Neal and Slik Toxik went on to achieve GOLD selling status and win a JUNO award for "Hard Rock" album of the year in 1991. More recently Neal was touring drummer for veteran classic rockers APRIL WINE. Later, upon meeting Huguette, the pair found a shared love of Alternative Rock and evolved it into their own post electro punk revival sound. Six months later, they married and their rockin funhouse ride of songwriting began in their own home based recording studio.
With 350+ TV shows comprising of over 4000 episodes, Twirl can literally be heard every time you turn on the television and continues to be highly sought out by music supervisors worldwide for their edgy/hip and modern sound.
