"Tre Butler - '96 Benz (Global Money Group)"

"I want a Benz right now, I don’t need amends right now"

Good music can come from anywhere and it’s truly a gift to receive. I was fortunate enough to receive the gift of the perfect blend of gold standard hip hop with a touch of the old school but with a modern soul sound. That gift came from Florida's own Tre Butler.

Tre Butler manhandles the track "‘96 Benz" as he shines bright on this song and video in with his pure rap skills and masterful delivery. Tre really has mastered using his voice as an instrument and you can tell by his style he's a true student of the culture.

Tre Butler shows complete control and confidence in a style most people cannot by finding the right balance of great lyricism but still being engaging enough for anyone to enjoy. Tre has some slick wordplay in there like "moving up the list like Dean's, the principle still ain’t changed". Tre raps all over the track with a style that's reminiscent of when we first heard J. Cole trying to put the Ville on the map.

"TRE BUTLER - Empty Bottles (Mieux Magazine)"

Tre Butler brings us into his world of regrets and confessions nearing the death of his father. The lyrics of “Empty Bottles” focus on how Butler is dealing with the passing of his father and moving on from it.

“Empty Bottles” is a jazz inspired track, full of visuals and lyrics we all can relate to. Drinking and dealing with alcoholism, Tre faces his issues, how he is coping and how it’s affecting those around him. The lyrics “falling victim to the dangers of my daily routine” shows that Tre realizes his coping mechanisms aren’t good for him and are taking him to a darker place rather than helping him.

The visuals of the music video strip the lyrics down and let us focus on what is being said. The video reveals that Tre Butler might have been hiding behind a different facade and was trying to tell his story from someone else, and then realizes he has to do it himself. For Tre Butler, this song is definitely about growing up and dealing with grief and pain in a mature way. The emotion behind the lyrics and jazz inspired sounds bring this track home and help all listeners connect. With a powerful track like this, Tre Butler is here to connect for a long time. - Mieux Magazine

"Tre Butler - '96 Benz (MIML)"

I want to start this post off by shouting out Tre Butler for keeping that good Hip Hop going. The kind of Hip Hop you play over and over so you can learn the words. That’s the good shit right there.

On his latest track ’96 Benz’ Tre paints a picture of his father’s lifestyle. Embracing the Florida culture over a soulful banger, Tre accomplishes what his father dreamed of getting that 1996 Benz. This track is a mixture of today’s culture with feels of the past. - Music Is My Life

"Tre Butler - Empty Bottles (A Million Magazine)"

From St. Petersburg, FL, independent rapper Tre Butler is discovering a way to change the perspective and narrative of artists from this generation. This 22-year-old emcee is making a name for himself across the industry with zero intention of slowing down.

Introduced to the culture and essence of true lyricism at an early age by his father, and influenced by timeless artists such as Jay-Z and Nas; he best describes his unique sound as "Aggressive soul - the best of both worlds" Encapsulating his lived experiences with raw grit and emotion, he makes music from the heart; hoping to impact the lives of his listeners in his community and around the globe.

"Of course I want to be the best at what I do, but most importantly, to me, it's about the music and how many people it can touch. Knowing that I can have someone relate to the same things that I've went through, and the music can provide them a sense of hope, that's enough to keep me going."

His debut album titled:What About Before?, is set to release early fall of 2018. Butler self reflects and reminisces on the past while using the recent passing of his father as inspiration. 11 tracks manifesting itself into the true life story of a son living out his father's dying wish; keeping his story alive. A body of work that has changed Tre Butler for the better; as an artist, and as a man.
