"Tracy Jo & The Toads"

Tracy Jo and The Toads, well, most of The Toads, opened for Cris Jacobs tonite at Fairfield Theatre Company, Fairfield, CT. Accompanied by Josh Lindblad (percussion) and Jon Kamal (guitar), her powerful, beautiful voice filled the room performing her own material, along with some well-chosen cover songs, starting off the evening with great music.

Jo’s renditions of Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave your Lover” and John Prime’s “Angel from Montgomery” were right on and her original music was great! She has a debut EP out called “Two Shots” and will hopefully release a full album soon. I can’t wait to get to know her music better.

Bio

After living and studying music in New Orleans, performing with The Disco Biscuits,  members of The Grateful Dead, Lettuce, and many more; Tracy Jo retreated to Connecticut to form a new group featuring the singer in the northeast late 2015.

Tracy Jo & The Toads is a blend of blues and gritty soul with a clear roots influence. The band is led by a sultry, vocal powerhouse. With songs reminiscent of decades past; Tracy Jo & The Toads bring energy and new life to a classic sound.
