Tony Neek$ is a rapper coming from Denver, who’s bringing us some new waves. “$un Valley” is the debut mixtape from the artist, and it took his perfection to another level. Spending over 2 years of honing the project to where it deserved to be. The project has the standout tracks of “Cloud$,” “Tell Me,” and “Jaded.” This marks the beginning for a successful journey for Neek$.

In late November, Tony Neek$ and Fly America artist Derek Luh will be headlining a show at The Roxy Theatre in Denver. On top of that, he’ll be performing with Mark Battles on his tour stop in Denver.

Coming off the release of his debut mixtape “Welcome To $un Valley” which dropped early last month, Tony Neek$, the 24 year-old recording artist from Denver, Co is barely starting to heat up. The 11 track mixtape contains features from Los Angeles artist Toestah and Denver’s very own “FL” of The FoodChain. This project has managed to get well over 37k plays and that number continues to grow daily. When asked what he hopes people will get out of his music, Tony replied with “I think my listeners will actually genuinely vibe with me, I deliver stories of events that have occurred in my life and I know I can motivate and influence those listeners.”

Although Tony has been in the game for 8 years, a majority of those years were spent discovering himself as an artist. After spending numerous hours in the studio, he didn’t feel comfortable releasing music until he developed his own sound. At this point in his career he feels like he’s discovered himself as an artists, and more importantly, a person. “I’m at the stage now where I feel comfortable to perform and release music” he said.



Tony Neek$ knows first hand just how hard it is to make it out of Denver due to the lack of support from artists. “The music scene over here seems hard to expand in, I feel like the local artists here don’t support one another. Everyone stays in their own lane and we will never see progression as a city if artists continue to stay on their high horse” stated Tony. At the rate he’s been working at he hopes to be the one to put Denver’s music scene on the map and break through that barrier. Tony told me he doesn’t want to be categorized, nor does he want to be compared to any artists, in his words “I stay in my own lane and do me and I don’t need to put up any fronts as an artist, I’m genuine with my identity. I feel like people get into “I’m the man of the city” type of ego and that’s way over my head.. I do me and stay true to myself”. Like many other artists, he uses his music as a form of self-expression which allows his listeners an inside look at his life.

So whats to come of Tony in the future you ask? The Denver native is currently working on a collaborative project with artist and longtime friend Toestah. Tony had one main goal for 2016, which is to continue to impact people and even get more personal speaking about his trials and tribulations as an artist, and a person… and the rest will fall into place.

Rising Denver artist Tony Neek$ drops off a new visual for the single, “Cloud$” produced by KamCartoon. This track comes off his debut project, “Welcome To $un Valley” released back in September. The project featured artists such as LA’s own Toestah and Denver’s own F.L of The Foodchain.
