Toni Esther is an African American, independent artist from Florence, South Carolina. She began her career at an early age singing in church. She gives credit to her father for introducing her to the music of The Temptations, Sam Cooke, Roberta Flack, and many other artist that have influenced her musically. Toni is a well-rounded artist that sings, raps, writes and produces her own music. Toni Esther alias is based from the biblical character Esther, who was a queen that sacrificed herself to free her people. She cites Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, J. Cole, and Big KRIT as the biggest influences on her music. Toni’s philosophy is "Out of the Box," referring to her way of thinking and the meaning in her lyrics.
