Bio
Tom Slick and the Converted Thunderbolt Greaseslappers was created in 1972 based upon a King's College Glee Club skit. Tom Slick is a 9 member show band of the “Sha Na Na” 1950's/60’s genre.
The band began performing during the mid-seventies in and around eastern Pennsylvania and had an impressive army of fans that followed the group throughout the region. Trying never to take themselves or the music too seriously, Slick had more fun than anyone with their clothes on has a right to.
The group went through various personnel changes and finally front man Lenny (Slick) Maday and Bonnie took the act on the road settling in Denver, Colorado where Slick enjoyed a renewal and became a successful oldies show band in the western US, releasing an LP album.
Lenny and Bonnie returned to Wilkes Barre, Pa. throughout the 80's and 90’s, to do reunion gigs with the original members (Mike, Bob, Sheffe, Jack, Ed, Rick, and Dave) and now, Slick has added Goat on keys. Frogman Henry is back, too. Slick sounds better than ever. Tom Slick maintains its original core of friends of the band and continue to "add" new band members and in 2010, recorded their first CD.
