Bio
After being regarded as one of the top high school saxophonists in the state of Michigan Tommy Pancy started school pursuing jazz education at Michigan State University. Never quite finding his place there Pancy started to branch out into other musical fields and found his sound in the world of electronic music. Taking much of his influence from GRiZ, Big Gigantic and bass artists such as Subtronics, Boogie T and Joyryde he began forming his own sound with a background heavily influenced by jazz greats of the mid to late 1900's. After fronting his own live funk band for 4 years he released his first project Back and Forth, a self produced 6 track album that started an obsession with the world of production. After teaming up with local producer DJ Chu and helping with Chu's records (chu.0 and bittersweet) his love of electronic music was opened up and nothing was stopping him from diving into the scene.
