There are so many good bands that come out of Florida that its hard to compete at a local level. I’ve had the chance to watch these guys grow and mature musically over the years. From projects such as Scientist VS Werewolf and Hawks with Rockets, Danny and Colin are back with their new project: Tiberius. Bio
Tiberius was formed in the summer of ’15 by lead vocalist Colin O’Brien and main songwriter Danny James. After spending nearly a decade touring together in local bands the two wanted to take the culmination of all they had learned over the years of touring and recording and put it towards a new project. They decided to take their time and focus first and foremost on writing honest, catchy songs with a dark undertone and to make sure to give potential fans as complete a music experience as possible.
After spending roughly nine months writing and re-writing songs Tiberius entered the studio in Fall of ’16 and recorded their debut 5 song EP titled Chapter I: Rebirth/Retribution with Jesse Kirkbride and Chris Whited of Kirkbride Recordings (Traitors, Infant Annihilator, Rings of Saturn).
After finishing the record the band then added members Evan Seals, Nick Chandler and James Kay all of whom have accomplished resumes across several different Florida music scenes. The band has spent the last 8 months rehearsing and refining their live set, printing merchandise and hard copies of the EP and writing for Chapter 2. Entirely self-funded, the band has spent the last year and a half making sure they are ready to give you the best recordings and live show they possibly can. Tiberius is here.
