"Tia' Gold New Single SOS (Wavez Movement Review)"

Houston’s own Tia’ Gold was relatively silent all of 2020 & by the sound of it, she clearly was doing some soul searching. She’s here now to share that wisdom along with words of encouragement to hopefully kick the new year off to a positive start. Something that’s so needed & even more so welcomed with open arms, as I’m sure all of us are in need of a hug, telling us that everything is going to be alright.

On “SOS,” she’s reflecting on past relationships, not only holding the other accountable but herself as well for her own inconsistencies within the said relationship. It’s just the same old shit & though she’s onto greener pastures, she sounds comfortable yet bittersweet. Hating to have to leave the same old shit behind, but it’s for the best & she wishes you that.

It’s a nice little sneak peek of what’s to come from the Houston songstress, hopefully, the first indication of a sophomore effort from the meditative crooner. Still, until then, we are just going to keep going through the motions of emotions, the highs & lows & though those fluctuations can get the better of us, it’s nothing new, just the same old shit we have to deal with; it’s just life. - Wavez Movement

"Roc Nation Singer-Songwriter @Thetiagold Gives New Meaning to 'Secret-Admirer' in Video to "Answer""

It's not often that a woman shoots her shot. It's something she has to prepare and often comes with those questions like "will he even respond". For Tia Gold, a Roc Nation singer-songwriter, she puts it all on the line for the visuals to "Answer". Even though she has some fear, Gold boldly makes the first move by making that one phone call. - Broke2Dope

"Tia' Gold Has The "Answer""

Artists from all over the country are continuing to perform live without leaving their homes. It's a necessity, even as some music venues open up.

Local artists, many of whom have lost most if not all of their income, have been hit particularly hard by the coronavirus. Livestreaming has become more important than ever. And we're here to showcase some of the best performers in Houston and beyond.

Tia Gold joins us for a performance at 11 a.m. Friday at the Preview from the Houston Chronicle Facebook page. The self-decribed "urban pop" singer was signed to RocNation for her songwriting talents.

Gold grew up listening to Fall Out Boy and Aaliyah, Gwen Stefani and Prince. In 2019, she opened for Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat at Revention Music Center and released her "Crybaby" EP in 2018.

If you like the Preview from the Houston Chronicle Facebook page now, you'll get a notification when the next concert starts. You can also watch the full performance below. - Houston Chronicle

"Tia’ Gold Gives Fans A Little ‘SOS’ With New Single [LISTEN]"

In 2019, Tia’ Gold not only set the standard for future HOU Got Next winners when she opened up for Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat at our Break The Internet concert, but she also caught the attention of Roc Nation. To begin 2020, the Houston singer traversed between Los Angeles and Houston, engaging in writing camps, penning future hits and even landing a deal with the prestigious label.
Now 2021 is all about show and prove for the singer and although she’s leaned plenty into a pop bag, her latest single “SOS” gets to the heart of the matter without as much as a pause.

“I’ve been writing sh*tty songs in my two-bedroom apartment, I been letting the same n*gga be my problem,” she sings while offering up vulnerability about her own inconsistencies. To top it off, the official lyric video for the single takes viewers right to the two-bedroom apartment and a day in the life for the singer, complete with grainy VHS aesthetic and fun. The girl next door grew up, and just wants to do cool, stress-free sh*t in her 30s.

“After not releasing music for a while I felt it was important to start off with something personal,” Gold says of the Chris Rockaway-produced single. “To really have an honest conversation with both new and old listeners about who I am and where I’m at in life.”

"Tia' Gold Opens For Meg The Stallion & Doja Cat"

We keep telling people On Tha Radar gets bigger and bigger and for Houston’s own Tia Gold? It became the biggest.

Her “Sorry Love” single was the highest voted track for the month of August and with that, she earned the opportunity to not only open up our sold-out Break The Internet concert with Megan the Stallion, Doja Cat, and Christian Paul, she performed in front of a crazy audience of nearly 4,000 people!

With that, we got our trusty camera crew to follow Tia around the day as the nerves built up before her big performance. Once she hit the stage, the sold-out crowd rocked with her from the opening note until they showered her with applause. Definitely a night she won’t ever forget! - Sandie Funches

"15 Christmas Songs From Houston w/ Love|| Lonely On Christmas Music Video Rev."

Houston Chronicle.com

"Lonely on Christmas," Tia Gold

The R&B and pop singer sounds like Kelly Rowland and puts some serious polish on her original. It feels retro and current at the same time, the perfect blend for a Christmas song. Seriously, add this to your permanent playlist. - Joey Guerra

"Exclusive : Lonely On Christmas Music Video Release"

Tia Gold is a Houston native singer/songwriter who has been performing since she was 17 and songwriting well before that. Working alongside LA-based Producer Chris Rockaway and Director Colin C. K. Njemanze, Tia Gold has graced us with the exclusive premiere of her latest single, Lonely on Christmas. Tia Gold’s smooth vocals and catchy chorus make Lonely on Christmas sound eerily familiar and easily loveable, despite the title. In fact, if you happen to be going through a breakup, this might be your new favorite Christmas hit. Tia considers her singing style to be Urban/Pop and is constantly mixing in music elements from other popular genres to create her unique and captivating sound.

Lonely on Christmas is directed by filmmaker and friend Colin C. K. Njemanze. Together, Tia and Colin were able to create a charming music video that embodies all things Christmas, but still retains the spirit of heartbreak. The music video draws inspiration from the Supremes, with a 1960’s period piece. I personally love the camcorder footage in the music video! I sat down with Tia for a tell-all interview, so be on the lookout for that! In the meantime, go ahead and put the song on repeat and turn the volume ALL THE WAY UP-- with a song this good no one can blame you. - Zoe Njemanzie

"Tia Gold - Lonely Hearts Review"

Music is most effect when it by bypasses the brain and heads straight for the heart. Tia’ Gold goes one stage further and aims her songs directly at the soul. Lonely Hearts is a wonderful musical package of sultry R&B, mixing minimal beats with a slow groove but still creating big dynamics with just these few building blocks. And if musically it sounds like an anthemic urban-pop future-classic, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

It is an anthem indeed, an anthem to the lonely and the overlooked, the forgotten masses and children growing up emotionally bereft. The combination of the heart tugging message and the effortless grooves make a powerful force, one that which goes way beyond the dance floor and becomes a soulful and soul-searching message to the modern world. Music as an act of love is a powerful force for sure. - Dave Franklin

CHRISTMAS BONUS: Tia Gold, “Lonely On Christmas”
The snow isn’t falling in Texas. All the work Tia Gold has put in this year may be all fine and dandy but when it comes to the holidays, all she wants is a little love. Red and green lights, people flying across the country to be with loved ones, Christmas is essentially the second most put-together “fall in love” holiday next to Valentine’s Day. Gold’s “Lonely On Christmas” packs all the melancholy feels of a Christmas record while also making you wonder how exactly she wound up in this predicament. Chris Rockaway provides the soundscapes here and what we’re left with is a smoldering ballad that conjures up feelings similar to those in Luther Vandross’s “Every Year, Every Christmas.” Only not as depressing as Luther Vandross’s “Every Year, Every Christmas." - Brandon Caldwell

"Houston’s Tia Gold And Micky Munday Vow To Do It “All For You”"

Tia’ Gold is an up and coming R&B/Pop artist. Born and raised in Houston, she’s been singing and songwriting since the age of 12. She began her pursue of her singer/songwriter career at the age of 19. She’s recently had the awesome opportunity to open up for Jazz legend Al Jarreau in the Annual Red Cat Jazz Cafe Jazz Festival. I like the feel of her new song “All For You feat. Micky Munday” because it reminds me of how R&B was in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Jam it here: - Amir Diamond 97.9 The Boxx
