Canadian frontman channels the pulsing flow of The Black Keys on this galloping blues-rock jam - Mystic Sons
Videordrome (yes LDD loves David Cronenberg’s cult flick!) will spotlight on the 10 videos we liked/played most the past few days. Some may wonder if video -ever- killed the radio star, well we believe not, however what is featured on these playlist series is centrally chosen cause of the music itself, and secondly for its imagery. So, let’s get it on! - Last Day Deaf

Bio
Thomas Duxbury is a songwriter fronted power-driven rock and roll group based out of Canada. From playing shows opening for several artists including The Dirty Nil and Jeff Martin to recording with several bands Thomas has developed his own sound and approach to recording, writing, and performing music. His debut single “Monday Blues” came out in early 2020 and helped work through issues with mental health and well-being. Working past his past and moving towards brighter days. His first LP came out in the summer of 2020 titled “Back 40 Homegrown” and it dealt with the issues of isolation and working past this.
The favourite songs of that album are titled “That Woman” and “Burn On”. These driving rock and roll songs have been featured on numerous radio programs since their release including 101.5 The Hawk, 93.3 CFMU, CBC Radio 2, and several others. Thomas has played with many talented musicians over the years including Chuck Kostash, Keith Mosfet, Zach Ridehalgh, and Bruce Cole to name a few. Some of Thomas’s influences include Neil Young, Eddie Vedder, Blue Rodeo, and Tom Petty to name a few. The live performance is constantly changing and adapting with the sessions that create it.
