or SWIFF. Is a native of New York. He started Rapping back in middle
School. At the time he was influenced by mostly MIDWEST AND EAST COAST-
rappers like; 2Pac, BONE THUGS,LOX ,BIG PUN...B.I.G...AND BIG L..So if
you get a chance to hear his older tracks you probably won't even
recognize him. After High School and blowing a full ride basketball
scholarship,he walked into a local studio and once he got a taste of
that he was hooked, this was his calling. Started listing to the
underground lyrical Rappers like CaniBus, Mos Def, Pheroh Monch, Chino
XL, Eminem and so on.Early in Swiff's career he was plagued by constant
run inns with the law, In and out of jail until Swiff Took a turning
point, not that it happened overnight, everything takes time...But this
was the start. In 2003 Swiff's first of 2 kids was born,Isaiah The
following year he married his Beautiful Wife Shauntee who grew up in New
York as well. Swiff credits his wife, along with his cousins, J.V and
Smoke Dust, of changing his style from a typical East Coast Rapper into a
bi-coastal MONSTER!!! Over 12yrs Swiff has worked with many Producers
and has released many great underground records but none have been able
to get him over the hump until NOW! after been fed up with problems with
the law Swiff took his family to a little town in Ga (Macon) Where
Swiff and Shauntee had another wonderful child now things slowly started
to change for Swiff even more, but he and his family still struggled.
Hungary and with nothing to drink but tap water Swiff an his Wife have
been told by there next door neighbor to visit this little church 1
Sunday morning where they serve free warm meals (The Lord Was Calling).
They went and heard a wonderful message from the lord so now they took
the next step and went back later that morning for Sunday school and
regular church hours. Alter call came and from there on out Swiff's life
changed completely.The Lord has opened some doors for him and his
family and Swiff from that day on has changed as the lord requested for
him to do music for him (God). Swiff now started to craft his flow his
styles and his skills into holy hip hop. Swiff dropped the first ever
Holy hip hop record ever created (Who Takes The Fall) on the A&R
Watch list music sampler. The record has received so much love that the
record got to the Grammy Award winning Krayzie Bone from Bone Thugs N
Harmony. Krayzie Bone and Swiff are now working together on the Remix
along with a few other projects which will be released later this year.
The Who Takes The Fall Remix Ft Krayzie Bone is out now on Itunes so stay tuned as the hit record may have just taken Swiff over
the hump but only time will tell.
