(The Shady Street Show Band) follows the traditional pathway of bands such as Supertramp, Tower Of Power, Joe Cocker, Randy Newman, The Band and many, many more. (They are a) group that understands the restrained elegance of a respectful nod to the past while stopping short of mimeographing those monstrous pioneers. Instead, they embrace influential, razor sharp basics and use them to plough their very own roads to glory. Cut straight out of a complex and commune-styled imagination, Ryan Gregg and Zac Silva forge ahead into the wonderful worlds of R&B, soul, and Americana muscle. - The Aquarian
Despite the divergent directions of their musical endeavors, though, The Shady Street Show band and Hot Blood have a deep appreciation for each other; and they decided it would be fun to release a split on which they traded songs. Shady Street put their spin on some Hot Blood, while Hot Blood give Shady Street the hardcore treatment.
The bands will unleash Shady Blood on the world with a show at The Saint in Asbury Park on September 19th. Just to keep with the eclectic theme of the split, joining them on the bill will be country outlaws, Lowlight, and experimental psychedelic / electronic duo, Bone & Marrow. - Cool Dad Music
Where there there is a local stage that is in desperate need of a theatrical soul injection, there is the Shady Street Show Band. - Speak Into My Good Eye

Bio
Rhythm and blues to rattle the bones. Sweet soul music to set
you free. Grin wider. Groove harder. Never stop singing.
In the past couple of years, Shady Street has risen to become one of the Jersey Shore’s top shows to see, often bringing up friends and guests to join the party on stage, at their largest commanding up to a 4 piece horn section on stage along with percussion and backup vocals. Among their achievements include winning an Asbury Park Music Award for best soul/blues act as well as a stint as the house band for the Stone Pony, one of New Jersey's premier music venues.
The Shady Street Show Band’s original EP, an Almighty Noise, was released in July 2013. Their second album “Together at Last”, a split record with good friends and punk rockers Hot Blood, was released in August of this year, where each band had a chance to cover the other band's music. Shady Street is heading into the studio in November 2015 to cut their first full length LP of original music, due out sometime this winter.
