The best kept secret in music

"Some musicians can write a song with a fast catchy beat, others can play a guitar, some can pour themselves into tight Wrangler jeans, and that's all fine and dandy, fans love them, but only a select few can really be called entertainers. Kevin Adair defines the word entertainer, with his high energy and electric band behind him you cant help but to sing along, move and grove to the beat of the band's original tunes and crowd pleasing covers." - East Alabama Now
“They’ve enjoyed it,” said Don Smith, Grounds Team Leader at Burning Bush Cowboy Church. “We had a country music concert after the first performance by a man named Kevin Adair of Slapout. He is really good. He writes his own music and he can cover anybody’s music.” - The Troy Messanger

Bio
Growing up in Tuskegee, Al., Kevin Adair was introduced to all kinds of
music. He once said, "I can remember lying in bed, hearing the band
Alabama on one radio, and WBIL on mine. I loved old R&B music. I
guess that influenced my songwriting and guitar a lot."
Kevin has played music all his life. He started out playing piano,
then guitar, and dabbled in drums.....all self taught. "I started
mimicking what my friends were doing on piano. I had a pretty good
memory, and would go home on a little Casio keyboard and play stuff like
'phantom of the opera'.....still can!!(haha!). I was later introduced
to guitar, around 12 years old. Still didn't know what a note or chord
was, I just knew if I moved my finger on that string, it made a
different sound. From that point, until now, I play the same.......but
just a tad bit better!"
Kevin has graced the stage with some of the greats,
(Drivin'-n-Cryin', Lee Ann Womack, The Commodores to name a few), and
has written songs from the heart and the hip. He resides in Holtville,
Al. ( #Slapout ), and has played shows all over the southeast. Bringing
his blend of soulful roots, screaming bluesy guitar and the storytelling
of classic country, he mesmerizes the audience with grace and honesty.
"I LOVE playing from the hip, ya know? Unrehearsed stuff. That's
where the magic happens. That note.....that one lick you can listen to
over and over again........yep. That was cool."
