Bio

With their new album, E Is for Emergency, The Ineloquent delivers contemplative messages combining piano driven Pop/Rock with captivating melodies, multi-layered harmonies, and a female lead vocal that has been described as “hauntingly angelic”.  These components are arranged on an ever-changing soundscape of rhythm, atmosphere, ambient synth, and live strings. The melodic and engaging musical style draws comparisons to artists like Coldplay, The Fray, Keane, and One Republic, while the band’s frontwoman, Georgiana Eakins, is often compared to vocalists like Ellie Goulding, Regina Spektor, Nora Jones, and probably most often, Leigh Nash from Sixpence None the Richer.

The Ineloquent’s writing style is sincere and straightforward, giving language to the inner struggles that many of us wrestle with.  “We want to create the kind of music that makes you want to just close your eyes and listen, no matter where you are or what you’re doing,” says band frontman Daniel Eakins, “but beyond feeling, we also want to make the listener stop and think.”

With lyrics that are revealing and deeply personal, E Is for Emergency weaves together themes of love, brokenness, fear, hope, and restoration.  These are songs that are meant to do more than just spill sound into silence; they are meant to challenge, inspire, and communicate messages of peace and good news in a world that seems to be drowning in a sea of the opposite.

The Ineloquent began with a love story.  Daniel and Georgiana started singing together while they were dating in college, although Daniel swears that he fell in love with Georgi before he ever heard her sing.  After getting married, they met Pablo Calderon who is now the third member and backbone of The Ineloquent.  Pablo is one of those gifted people who can play any instrument he touches (except bagpipes - which, given an opportunity, he could most likely master as well).  As other members have come and gone, each playing an integral part in the legacy of The Ineloquent, Pablo has remained and has worn many different hats over the years, from electric guitar to bass to drums.  The trio has been playing together, writing together, and touring together for so long that they are now like family, reading each other’s minds and all the other weird stuff families do.

Once The Gladiator was purchased in 2007, everything changed. The Gladiator was The Ineloquent’s beloved big green van and has been, more often than not, their home.  The nomadic life of the trio began and The Ineloquent hit the road running.  They moved to a little cabin in Minnesota where they recorded their first full studio album Seeing Things Your Way and then The Gladiator took off on its first of what would be many tours around the U.S.  Over the next few years, The Ineloquent “lived” in Iowa and Colorado, but the open road felt more familiar than anything else as The Ineloquent played multiple concerts in every state except for 3 (apologies to North Dakota, Alaska, and Hawaii), singing wherever there were open doors.

The Ineloquent eventually branched out beyond the reach of where The Gladiator could go, flying to sing in places like El Salvador, South Korea, England, Italy, and Romania, where Daniel and Georgiana are currently living and doing volunteer work on top of being active members of The Ineloquent.

After a literal engine explosion, The Gladiator now sits silent, but The Ineloquent does not.  With the release of E Is for Emergency, in many ways The Ineloquent is just getting started, having finally come into their own musical skin with a renewed vision and purpose.  The album was recorded in several different states and was finished in Romania during a visit from Pablo, who currently lives in Baltimore. The Ineloquent continues to write new material, some of which they will be debuting in 2015 along with their songs from E Is for Emergency as they tour around Romania, Europe, and the U.S.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a song is worth ten thousand.  Georgiana, Daniel, and Pablo may in themselves be ineloquent, but through their music and lyrics, they are telling a story that goes beyond themselves, a story worth exploring.
