I can't stop listening to "Let It Burn" by The Atomic Love Bombs. With its subtle echoes of so many of the bands I love -- Moody Blues (when they were awesome), Seeds (but more polished), Amboy Dukes (but more refined), Strawberry Alarm Clock (but less cheesy), Yardbirds, Jefferson Airplane, Eric Burdon & the Animals, Kinks, Stones, and yes, even the Beatles -- this album just blows my mind.
While reminiscent of the best psychedelic pop/rock of the late '60s and early 70s, The Atomic Love Bombs' music is unique and original. The songs are skillfully crafted with jangly acoustic guitar work offset by searing fuzz-laden lead riffs. The vocals are heartfelt; the vocal harmonies sublime. And it's all pulled together in a polished production that's just perfect for these songs.
I've listened to the whole album at least five times in the past two days and I still can't wait to listen to it some more.

The Atomic Love Bombs have been performing in the Northwest, California and NY with bands like Brian Jonestown Massacre, British Sea Power and Ulrich Schnauss; and tirelessly writing and recording new material over the past 10 years. They caught the eye of Scott Frampton who described the band in his column for CMJ New Music Monthly magazine, as "...simply my favourite new San Francisco band. If I said that their sound was a combination of the Velvets, T. Rex and Spiritualized with a dash of Yo La Tengo, it wouldn't do them justice."
The Atomic Love Bombs have released two full length albums, High Again and Let It Burn and the EP It's the New Emma Jane. Their songs have appeared on soundtracks, ASCAP and samplers; and featured in CMJ New Music Monthly magazine.
Their upcoming album, The Sun Machine, will be the fourth release from The Atomic Love Bombs The single “100 Mile Freefall #3” and it’s b-side, a haunting cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” can be found on iTunes..
