Bio
We are just a simple band, trying to make our way in the universe….
The Ska-Walkers have combed the galaxy and have assembled a strong sounding band reminiscent of the late 1990’s early 2000’s north Jersey punk/ska scene. Guitarists Steve Balletto and Rob Bensettler, bassist “Cousin” Dave Dahl, drummer Eric Cheung, trumpeter Willian Hua, trombonist Dan Golub and lead singer Rich Suzano are the members of this not quite Millenial band. The up-beat, high energy sound and the positive message this band delivers make it one of the most refreshing sounds of the 21st century for anyone who spent their formative years hosting influential bands like The Aquabats, Edna’s Goldfish, The Toasters, Catch 22, and the Hippos.
This is a new opportunity for the local group to get out and make music that reminds them of their glory days at local VFWs, firehouses and Imri’s basement. The band is currently producing their first album “Stand By Me”, a tribute to their decades-long friendship, by re-recording songs written for earlier incarnations while embracing the challenge of updating old work based on newer experiences. The band hopes to begin its performance season in 2019 to coincide with the release of a compilation the band was invited to be part of called “What Do You Know About Ska Punk v3”.
