Bio

Formed by Lone Star College jazz, symphonic, and classical music students in January of 2015, The Share Fire spent their first few months crafting their sound in a tin roofed shack along side the railroad tracks on the north end of Houston. What emerged was a sonic beast of a groove-rock band, hinting towards old school psychedelic and prog rock but with modern twists and influences.

Inspirations include, but not limited to,  Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, P-Funk, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Temples, The Districts, Pond, Queens of the Stone Age, Twin Peaks, Mac DeMarco, The Raconteurs, and White Denim. Their sound will be a blend all of of this and more, while entirely original, powerful, and fresh.

The Share Fire has one self titled full album (10 original songs) self-published October 16, 2015,  a single "Turkish Royal" and b-side "The Roach", a live release called "This Time For Real" from January 15, 2016,
a video released February 2017 for "Turkish Royal", and are currently holed up in a larger shack along side the San Jacinto river in Houston finishing their second full album.  They can be seen playing live around the Houston area and occasionally venturing towards San Marcos, Austin, San Antonio, Denton, and occasional stops in Louisiana.

They write, record, mix, master, produce, and promote their work from their home studio in Houston, TX.  They plan on touring Texas and the Midwest to support their album during the summer of 2017.

Described as...
"soulful ... Muscle Shoals vibe" ...  "Thorough, forward-looking progressive rock" ... a "blend of old school psychedelic rock meets contemporary groove drenched geek-rock" ... "Rare to see that combination of youth and soul" ... and "Holy shit "Sunrise" sounds like Waters and Gilmore kissed and made up..."

"We're just a bunch of normal people looking for the right words." describes guitarist Paul Whitley, alluding to the innate need in all of us to express ourselves socially and artistically, and the fear that our expression won't be accepted, while at the same time struggling to communicate a whirlwind of thoughts, feelings, and emotions into expression... artistic, or otherwise.
