"Lanark Records Quentin Jones inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame"

Lanark Records is pleased to announce that its own Quentin Jones has been inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, located in Nashville Tennessee. Jones is listed as a Second Generation Artist along with such roots music greats as the Stray Cats, Danny Gatton, Robert Gordon, The Rockats, The Polecats, High Noon, The Blaster, Rev Horton Heat, Big Sandy, Levi Dexter, James Intveld, Billy Burnett, Br549, Eddie Angel and many more. Second Generation artist listings are artists that have recorded or preformed post 1963.

Bob Timmers , Founder and Curator of the Official Rockabilly Hall of Fame® since 1997 said : “After the pioneers of rockabilly made their initial impact on the music scene in the ’50s and early ’60s, many performers have followed in their footsteps to “carry the torch.” This section of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame is devoted to that “2nd Generation.”

” In an ongoing effort, we will list the artists and individuals that we feel have made a significant contribution to rockabilly music in recent years.”

Along with its building in Nashville, the Rockabilly Hall of Fame is an outstanding website where people can find videos, mp3s, history, and memorabilia on their favorite roots artists. The web site is http://www.rockabillyhall.com/

Quentin Jones accomplishments as a guitar player, a producer, songwriter, bass player, engineer, and label owner led to his inclusion on the Second Generation list .

Jones’s latest project was producing and engineering the Linda Gail Lewis album “Hard Rockin’Woman. Jones went on to co-produce with legend AL Kooper and co engineered Charlie’s 2012 album “For the Love of Charlie” which was released by ABKCO Records. Jones wrote many of the songs on this album and on 2016s Charlie Gracie album “Angel on my Shoulder”.

Jones is the guitar player, producer and main songwriter for the Reach Around Rodeo Clowns, a band that brought rockabilly strong notice in the north east USA and put a new twist on the sound. The “Clowns” were tweeted about by the great writer Stephen King and have had press in major publications, and are played heavily on radio and streaming sites. Their music has been used in many indie films. They have released six full albums and continue to record and play live shows.
