The ORACLE

Multi-talented, quadruple threat: Singer, Actor, Dancer, and Motivational Speaker Denise L. Cook, known artistically as The ORACLE, has ventured into the exciting eclectic realm of Spoken Word Artistry, winning two coveted Spoken Word Billboard Awards. The first for Top 100 Rising Ranking Artist of the Year 2012—Lyrical Influence for “Lunar Love Affair”, from her CD ‘I Gotta Story To Tell” and her second award in 2013, ranking her the #1 Spoken Word/ Poet Artist of the Year.

The ORACLE is a captivating performer on and off stage, having performed as a featured actor, singer, dancer and spoken word artist and in Film, Television and Stage, national and international. She was on the short list of Poets being considered to recite her poem, “At The Wishing Well”, at the 2012 Inauguration, and was a featured performer for several of the 57th Presidential Inaugural Ceremonies. Denise is a prolific writer of two books of poetry along with a litany of published works in numerous Anthologies and small press publications, and attests to her diversity of style, wit and understanding of the written word and life. The ORACLE was inducted in the International Who’s Who of Poetry in 2012, and was invited to the Vice-President's residence where she performed in December 2013. In 2014, Denise was nominated for the Los Angeles Poet Laureate.

The ORACLE’s CD, “I Gotta story To Tell”, which accompanies her book, was produced by legendary music producer Keg Johnson, Jr. and she has recently filmed her first video, “Freedom Wakes Me Up”, which debuted live at the U.N. and is now preparing to represent Women’s Federation for World Peace at Madison Square Garden, with True Mother, for True Parents At The Garden, Peace Starts With Me conference.
