The No. 44 was formed in 2016 in Pomona, a city just outside Los Angeles. With a band moving as fast as the No. 44, it̢۪s hard to make a recording that can keep up. Since the tracking of their debut EP Venus Eye Trap in July of 2016, the No. 44 has played over one hundred shows across California leading up to its release on November 3rd. Their music exists as a balance, it is unfiltered in emotion and delivery, yet restrained by technical musicianship. Their distinct mix of driving guitars and hard hitting choruses lends itself to the label rock n roll, but the music demonstrates a distinct interest in breaking convention. Their sound is at the same time dreamy and psychedelic, but grounded by punk and rock aggression.
