The Night Howls

With old souls and young hearts, The Night Howls deliver a blast-from-the-past performance that is inevitably intermingled with a twist of modern cool. Thick, fiery vocals intertwined with soulful guitar, shredding bass, and a pulsating rhythm that promises a captivating experience full of integrity. A band with a purpose to make each member the forefront in an unique way. Heavily influenced by the roughness of old records and female powerhouses, such as Janis Joplin and Grace Slick, and of course the blues, soul, and country roots of American music that made Rock what it is today. 

Formed in 2017 in San Diego, CA, after the breakup of her previous band, Kimmi Bitter (vocalist/guitarist) knew she wanted to make music with people who had the same love for the early days of Rock and Roll; not only in sound, but in the movement. She recruited her old bass player, Ben Neal (guitarist), and shortly after the band formed with the addition of Willis Farnsworth (bassist) and Christopher Brown (drummer). Within weeks they were getting booked around local venues and taking San Diego by storm.

The Night Howls have set forth with a vision of creating music without automated tweaks and representing unaltered Rock and Roll, much like in the days before technology overtook. Staying as true as possible to the quality of the 60’s and 70’s recordings, the band prides on their live and analog style performance.

With the tight, explosion of groove supplied by Chris and Willis, the tonal textures of Ben’s Guitar, and the powerhouse vocals provided by Kimmi, the group has set themselves up to make moves and create movements.
