The New Vagabonds

The heart of San Antonio has produced a new brand of homemade country music with The New Vagabonds. The duet-fronted group boasts both powerful love ballads and toe-tapping porch tunes in a high-energy show that showcases Jimmy Dasher on vocals, guitar, and mandolin and Ashlee Rose on vocals, guitar, ukulele, and violin.
In December of 2013 Dasher and Rose got together for their first songwriting session which resulted in the duo's first co-write, "Baby Steps" with Houstonian Andi Renfree of the band Two-Bit Palomino. In the following months the duo put together a live show that debuted on March 6, 2014 at Greenhouse Concerts in San Antonio with 14 brand new original songs that range in style from honky tonk to tex-mex to americana to classic country.
Both songwriters have received numerous solo-project accolades. Dasher was named Best Guitarist in San Antonio, TX before even graduating high school, has toured the US multiple times, and released two albums under his name. Rose was recently named "Female Vocalist of the Year 2013" at the Texas Music Awards for her work on her 2012 release, "Songs In A Suitcase" that followed her travels around the world playing music on cruise ships.
The duo plans to release their first full-length album in Fall of 2014.
