The Medina Grooves project is the brainchild of Marcos Medina Rivera (guitar/vocals), current Skinlab guitarist and formerly of Iratetion. The line-up also boasts other massive names in the heavy metal world. Carlos Pagan (Motograter) on guitar, Darren McClelland (Straight Line Stitch) on bass/back up vocals, Gustavo Kolndorfer from Sao Paulo, Brazil on lead guitar, Pedro Ghork Lopez on tribal percussion, and Ryan Ball (ex-Crisis) on drums. The music created by The Medina Grooves is being billed as "ViolentReggae" or "HeavyRasta" , and our most receptive description yet has been that of "imagine yourself listening to Max Cavalera and Bob Marley having a Meshuggah-baby"....we are currently mid-way thru recording our debut EP "The Dreadlist" with producer Ahrue Luster at Illustrious Productions...
