The Jubu Experience

The unique, soul-blues band known as The Jubu Experience is easily the most artistic group in music today. Comprised of an elite, four-member “band of brothers” who are taking the industry by storm with cool sounds and unforgettable lyrics, The Jubu Experience attracts a diverse audience of fans, communities, critics and people uniting over the love of really good music.

 With artistic influences ranging from Jimmy Hendrix to Sam Cooke, Herbie Hancock, BB King, Curtis Mayfield and Led Zeppelin, The Jubu Experience melodic tunes are rooted in soul, blues and gospel quartets. The group’s musical style reflects both their humble beginnings and illustrious careers, while showcasing talent that’s undeniable and remarkable.

 The Jubu Experience is composed of John “Jubu” Smith (lead vocals, guitar), Errol Cooney (guitar), Eric "PikFunk" Smith(bass and Chris Johnson (drums). Together, these inevitable musicians consistently create and produce music that pushes boundaries and entertains the masses. Throughout their respective careers, the members of The Jubu Experience have worked with such top artists as Frankie Beverly & Maze,  Destiny’s Child, Sheila E., Janet Jackson, Mick Jagger, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Patti Labelle, John Legend, Jennifer Lopez, Chrisette Michele, Rihanna, Raphael Saadiq, Seal, Jill Scott, Justin Timberlake, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, and many more.

 In March 2015, The Jubu Experience released their much-anticipated “You” album.

The band is currently busy writing songs and performing in shows and venues all over the country. They hope to embark on a national and European tour and by the end of the year, will get back into the studio to record a new album and music.
