Growing out of the necessity to fill empty souls with the tunes and croons of Americana music, The Johnny Utahs are more than just a band of old souls. Drawing inspiration from the storied streets of Ogden, Utah where the band calls home, the Utah boys call upon the ghosts of musicians past to create a fervent and neo-vintage sound.
The four-piece has summoned the musical spirit of Americana, with a rattlesnake bite of rock ‘n’ roll and the sweet twang of Outlaw country.
Inspiration from the past and story-driven songs has given The Johnny Utahs a faithful local following, and presented the band opportunities to share the stage with national acts like James McMurtry and Band of Heathens. When The Johnny Utahs aren’t making an appearance at a street festival or rowdy bar, the band is practicing and recording within the walls of a century-old brothel located in the heart of downtown Ogden.
