"Jason Scott has all the soulful grittiness and charm that you would expect from real folk music, but he manages to exude a true conviction and heartfelt singer/songwriter's passion that is so rare and refreshing in the genre. The real deal... A unique voice; not only in timbre and tone but also with the seemingly effortless turn-of-phrase. Folk & blues at its finest and one of the few songwriters out there today who can sing a song about his own life experience, but you would swear he was telling your story... Only better."

About a year ago Jason Scott released his 9 track album Untold. It's one of those albums that creates somewhat of an audible blackhole.
On several occasions when I listened to 1 song I wanted to move on to another, then another, then another mostly due to the strong voice singing interesting melodies and lyrics (as well as the conviction that padded out the stories), the sweet melodic guitar that helped build the soundscape
It was a wise choice for Jason to kick off the album with Untold. It has a rich tapestry of strumming and fingerstyle guitar and lyrics. The opening line of the song and album being 'I can't remember if God was on my side' introduces the listener to a world of bitter-sweet folk/country rock.
Another gem inside the record is 'Songbird fly'. The strumming of the guitar and convicting lyrics are well put together.
My favorite lines from Songbird Fly are '\wishes are for fairy tales but true love comes but never fails to break your heart and teach you all the rules'',
