Bio

The Good Son is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Jon Cervi.  A late entry into the music scene, Jon began songwriting in his high schools days.  Heavily influenced by the likes of Blue October, The Goo Goo Dolls and Aaron Lewis; his passion grew and he continued writing through college.  The Good Son brings an honest approach to everyday life situations, whether good or bad.

His first EP "The Fight", released in 2014, highlighted songs dating back to 2004.  The tracks range from Back To Me and Three Days from Independent which draw on earlier life struggles, all the way to Saved Me and Broken which bring a more current day prospective.  In support of this album, The Good Son has had some very special moments and opportunities; opening for Kip Winger was one of those moments.  In an article written in The National Rock Review, writer Sami Lipp said of The Good Son performance from that show:

"His music is soothing, emotive and thought provoking.  You hear him bear his soul in all its rawness, while being put completely at ease by the melodies."

The Good Son's highly anticipated sophomore EP, "It's about that time…” is set to drop on 3/17/2016.  The EPs first single "Hell Yea" has already drawn very positive acclaim.  This is, as to be expected, a very personal album for The Good Son.  It will bring listeners that much closer to the man behind the music.

Jon feels every live performance is another chance to bear his soul; another chance to connect with someone. The walls fall more each and every time a song is performed.
