"Sometimes, all too rarely, you hear an album for the first time, and your ears prick up, your heart begins to beat a bit faster, and your mind resumes a long forgotten conversation with itself on the eternal questions of truth, beauty, and the human condition. Such is ‘Incantation at the Golden Hour’…As you listen more closely, you find meditations on love, alienation, and resilience picked out in exquisite poetry.” - Metro Music Scene
About The Glimpses' new single, "What a Day May Bring":
“I think I need to go lock myself in a room for a day and listen to this song. It’s an odd little ditty that really is a slice of awesome. The vocals and the music both hold their own bits of goodness so the combination is kinda like chocolate and peanut butter. She has a voice that is a once in a generation thing…” - Diva Shane, Music Bank
“With vocals slightly Feist-ian, Mill brings on the lyrical heartache, yet you'll still find yourself humming along.” - Jeffro, DC Music Blogger

Bio
The Glimpses are a Virginia-based Americana duo. Drawing from folk, country blues, Memphis soul and rock ‘n’ roll, Mercedes Mill and Matthew Leonard conjure a bewitching mix of lyrics and sound, steeped in soaring melodies and honeyed harmonies. Their paths converged one summer day at a recording studio, and they’ve been making music together ever since. Inspired by a great range of artists including Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Emmylou Harris, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band, they’ve toured nationally and have played at the National Cherry Blossom Festival, The Mint in Los Angeles, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Black Potatoe Music Festival in NJ, the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance, and many other notable venues. Their performances are dynamic and engaging, drawing comparisons to the legendary collaborations of Richard & Linda Thompson, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, and The Civil Wars.
