Bio
The Echoing is a melodic, post-goth, doom project hailing from Central California. It is composed of long-time collaborators Nicole Ridge (guitar) and Brooke Mello (vocals). Later adding the amazing rhythms of Dante Johnson (Drums) and Mark Blackheart (bass).
Mixing melancholic guitar melodies and sludgy tempos juxtaposed with haunting and melodic vocals, The Echoing takes a more somber approach to songwriting in order to convey these feelings into music. Brooke paints a picture with her lyrics that are both dark and beautiful from introspective and cathartic musings.
With influences ranging from early 90s grunge to goth-folk and experimental rock, The Echoing draws on many sources for inspiration and has no desire to fit into any one particular style.
The Echoing is an art project before it is a rock band and is not meant for a listener seeking the conventional upbeat musical experience, but for someone willing to be taken on a journey, albeit dark or sorrowful at times.
