“Declaration” is just one of the standout singles off the unmissably immersive Prog Metal album “ABRAXAS SHRINE” from The Conduit.
The term ‘powerhouse’ may get thrown around a lot in metal. But The Conduit’s ability to start off with a mellow Post Punk Indie Rock prelude and devilishly tease their way up to blast beats, caustic pig squeals and insanely technical guitar progressions makes them more than worthy of the accolade.
Declaration not only demands to be played at full volume so that you can drink in the full veracious energy of the track. But it also demands repeat attention to experience those seamless progressions once more.
At over eight minutes long, you may feel like you’re in it for the long haul when you hit play. But you’ll be more than happy with where their pioneering guttural ingenuity takes you with the symphonically transfixing outro.
You can check out Declaration for yourselves by heading over to YouTube now.

Abraxas Shrine is the December 20, 2019 album by the Los Angeles heavy metal project called The Conduit on the Akashic Records label. This amazing band consists of Jeffrey Bobbin on vocals, Christopher Beattie and Ben Zeiger on guitars, Luca Canali on drums, and Tony Stanton on bass. Before I started listening to this eleven-track album, I saw this is a heavy metal band. As I started to listen to the first track on this album which is the title track Abraxas Shrine, it sounded like progressive/electronic rock and I said to myself, WHERE IS THE METAL! About a minute or so into this song they kick in with metal and saw how versatile they are. I continued to enjoy this album with its clean and unclean vocals, heavy guitar riffs and some awesome electronic sound with such tracks as Tactical Empath, Envemonate, Nightshade, Genesis Pattern and so much more. I was impressed with the songwriting abilities of this band, as well as their performance and how this album was recorded. This is definitely an album I would recommend you take a listen to. Currently, this album is available as a digital download from Bandcamp, Amazon and other music outlets. You can find more about this band by going to their Bandcamp page https://theconduit.bandcamp.com. In closing, I want to thank this band for contacting me on twitter and sending me a digital download of this album to listen to and to give my opinion on this release. I am looking forward to hearing their earlier releases and review them. - Oasis Entertainment

Monarch is the October 18, 2015 album by The Conduit, a heavy progressive metal project designed for listeners who desire detail, proficiency, and captivation which features Jeffrey Bobbin on vocals, Christopher Beattie and Ben Zeiger on guitars, Luca Canali on drums, and Tony Stanton on bass. This is my second review for this band which doing my first review for them Abraxas Shrine which was their December 20, 2019 album, knew I had to hear their earlier work to see how they grew to their present-day talent. This nine-track album with clean vocals, heavy guitar riffs and driving drum beats features such tracks as Transmutation, Impendingness, Correspondence, Do Not Go Gently and so much more. I enjoyed the performance on this album from start to finish with amazing songwriting talents and superb recording and is an album I highly recommend you take a listen to and add to your metal library. I would love to one day hear this band in person and review their live performance. Currently, this album is available as a digital download and on CD from Bandcamp, Apple Music, and other music outlets. You can find more about this band by going to their Bandcamp page https://theconduit.bandcamp.com. In closing, I want to thank this band for contacting me on twitter and sending me a digital download of this album to listen to and to give my opinion on this release. I am looking forward to hearing more from this amazing band. - Bob Levoy

Bio
The Conduit is a progressive math-metal band from Bend, Oregon with influences ranging from artists like Periphery and Tesseract to lighter genres of music like Bjork and Chick Korea. Each of the several albums released by The Conduit have been composed by Jeff Bobbin, a Berklee College of Music dropout who recruited musicians for concert, video, and press projects. The compositional sound incorporates elements of electronic and orchestral themes with the skeleton of the music formed by syncopated grooves created with a complex array of guitar, drum, and bass instruments. The ambitious vocal work demonstrates a variety of melodic singing with layered harmonies and different screaming styles. Jeff Bobbin has been described as the Willy Wonka of music by Los Angeles hardcore metal outfit, A Belt Above Black.
