Founded in London, Ontario, ‘the cock in the sparrow’ are a 3 piece punk rock band. They got started when Paul St. Laurent (guitar and vocals) and Hamish (drums) started jamming and recording punk versions of songs that Paul had written on acoustic guitar. A short time later they asked Derek Santos to join the band on bass. Together, the trio of experienced musicians have molded an infectious sound that utilizes Paul’s East Coast musical sensibilities, Hamish’s punk rock background, and Derek’s love of jazz. The sound is unadulterated high tempo punk rock and roll that gets people shaking their hips and moving their feet.
