Hard hitting blues rock band from Massachusetts, influences include Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Black Sabbath. The 45's influence also stretches to modern artists such as Tyler Bryant, Highly Suspect, and Greta Van Fleet. With slammin' rock tunes such as "Poor Boy Blues" and alternative rock tunes such as "I Know" The 45 is looking to make a splash into the scene.
The 45 started in spring of 2018, at the time solo artist Jesse Mosczynski was looking to start a rock group. Jesse previously knew Andreus from playing together in a pop punk band in the local area. They quickly began looking for a lead guitar player and a bassist. They brought in Vito Caccavelli who would become there bassist for a sort time and Johnny Maglitta. Vito and Jesse have been in and out of cover projects throughout the years in the Blackstone Valley, Jesse knew Vito would be a great fit. The group first reached out to Johnny Maglitta over the internet and asked him to try out for the group, at the time (Jesse & His Ghosts) Johnny was a perfect fit and they began writing music together.
The group then reached out to Q Division Studios in Somerville, MA where they were introduced to Matthew Alexander. They began recording in May of 2018 and wrapped everything up June of 2019. During this time the group spent at least 10 days recording either at Q Division Studios or Woolly Mammoth Sound (Waltham, MA) they also were preforming in and around Worcester.
The six tracks Jesse wrote were cut down to three, "I Know", "Desensitized", and "Free The Rooster" with him writing "American Girl" in the process. Johnny Maglitta and the group wrote "Poor Boy Blues" and "Sister Darin'" in the summer of 2018. Vito Caccavelli ended up walking away from the group in the spring of 2019 but is still featured on the album. The 45 picked up talented front man James Hewitt who is in the local band The Phase. James brings an intense stage presence, with in your face vocals!
Now the group is ready to release their self titled album The 45 (early 2020)
